As social distancing becomes the new normal for a while, the music industry as a whole continues to innovate new ways to connect and bring people together. We’ve seen countless livestreams and broadcasts from across the world, from local heroes to huge international names all stepping up to share their craft with the virtual world. Now, thanks to the legends at Untitled Group, we’re in for an almighty treat this weekend as things are taken to the next level with the announcement of Virtual Day Party.

With a veritable who’s who on the bill, Virtual Day Party is taking the concept of a livestream and making it bigger and better as it evolves into an online music festival, and will feature sets from Dom Dolla, Willaris K and Torren Foot. Jordan Brando, Elizabeth Cambage, and London Topaz will also be joining the bill. The sets have all been pre-recorded from three unique, undisclosed Melbourne locations featuring panoramic views of the city skyline, a train carriage on a rooftop and an industrial warehouse locationIt all kicks off this Saturday, April 18th and will be broadcasted via Untitled Group‘s Facebook page.

Untitled Group director Filipo Palermo said the event was developed partly because of the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the music industry, saying, “Music lovers are being deprived of experiences that are so important to them & ingrained in their way of life, which is why we have decided to keep the spirit of our day parties alive in a new virtual format.”
