Job description

We are looking for an experienced Event Manager who takes pride in delivering seamless, large-scale experiences and has a proven track record working across live music festivals and venues. You are highly organised, commercially aware, and confident in managing end-to-end event delivery from planning through to execution.

This role requires you to have a strong operational mindset, the ability to command a room, and collaborate with senior stakeholders and contractors. You’ll be able to manage competing priorities and show consistent attention to detail. You’re a problem solver and a clear, confident communicator who can lead teams effectively.

Please note, this role requires flexibility including out of business hours work, weekend work and travel, aligned to live event delivery.

About you

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 3 years of event management experience, including delivery of large-scale events (1,000+ attendees). Ideally across live music, festivals and venues.
  • Strong capability in budget management, including cost tracking, supplier negotiations, and reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to develop risk assessments and comprehensive event management plans.
  • Experience working with councils, government bodies, and regulatory authorities to secure permits and approvals.
  • Demonstrated success leading and briefing large on-site teams across staff, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Confidence in delivering post-event reporting and facilitating structured debriefs.
  • Ability to manage multiple events or a portfolio concurrently (desirable).
  • Experience in festival or touring environments (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management tools (desirable).

Responsibilities

HERE’S WHERE YOU’LL BE SPENDING YOUR TIME

  • Planning, coordinating and delivering festivals and events from concept through to execution, ensuring timelines, logistics and resources are aligned.
  • Developing and managing detailed event plans, including risk assessments, operational planning and contingency measures.
  • Overseeing day-to-day event operations, coordinating suppliers, vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Managing event budgets, including forecasting, tracking costs and ensuring delivery within approved parameters.
  • Liaising with councils, regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure permits and approvals.
  • Leading and briefing on-site teams, including staff, stakeholders, contractors and suppliers, ensuring clarity of roles and expectations.
  • Acting as the key point of contact during event delivery, managing issues, making decisions and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Conducting post-event evaluations, including reporting, debriefs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
