Melbourne is getting a new outdoor live music and performing arts precinct

Via Time Out

The venue will open in March and already has a jam-packed roster of artists set to perform this year.

In March, the City of Yarra will become home to Reunion Park, Melbourne's newest pop-up outdoor live music and performance venue. The space is brought to you by Velodrome Events, which was behind the launch of the Coburg Velodrome, and Untitled Group, the independent music group behind music festivals like Beyond the Valley and Pitch Music and Arts Festival

You can look forward to flying circus performances, comedy shows, food and drink events, music festivals and gigs. Several well-known artists have already been booked in to perform within the first month of opening, including King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, DJ Seinfeld, Spacey Jane and Benee. The venue will also be host to two music festivals: Uncaged Festival on March 12 and Full Tilt Festival on March 26.

"We feel blessed to have the opportunity to bring together such an eclectic program of performing artists, and play a part in helping return confidence in our industry," says Chris Mitchell, the director of Velodrome Events. "Despite all odds, the show must go on."
