Publicist

In this Publicist role, you are responsible for showcasing the Untitled festival and touring assets through a variety of engaging campaigns.

Reporting to the Head of PR, this role plays a key part in driving growth through maximising media exposure and activity, building brand awareness and and securing unique promotional opportunities. You will work closely with key internal stakeholders as well as external contacts to build and maintain strong relationships and execute public relations strategy.

ABOUT YOU:

You are a music loving publicist who has a deep understanding of the Australian media landscape and a creative and strategic mindset. You come armed with existing contacts, have great networking skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. As the PR team expands, you will work closely with the Head of PR to deliver high impact PR campaigns.

HERE’S WHERE YOU’LL BE SPENDING YOUR TIME:

• Activate full PR activity including pitching, strategy, writing press releases, promotional activity, on-ground promo and post-event reporting
• Develop and maintain strong work relationships with media
• Support the Head of PR to devise and deliver PR strategies and campaigns
• Reporting and providing regular updates to Untitled’s stakeholders
• Keep up to date and adapt to industry and global trends
• Devise creative angles and pitches for PR activity
• Assist in tracking and collating media exposure
• On site duties are required in this role, requiring you to make yourself available during festival dates to be on-site at festival locations as required.
  

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years experience in a public relations role, ideally music industry background (lifestyle, entertainment, travel, agency experience also looked upon favourably)
• Established media contacts
• Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape (overseas knowledge and contacts also looked upon favourably)
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
